[Spoken Verse] I do know that for the sympathy of one living being, I would make peace with all. I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other.

Saturn Eyes 06:09
[Chorus] Summer Haze I talked to you This pain you gave me Illusions too Saturn Eyes Devour me too Black by day I can’t see you [Verse 1] Promised me a better land Seas, mountains under Promise of fins that fly You tried, but you blundered Took me in and chewed me out Compost in a dumpster Left no place for me to hide Addicted to the scorching [Pre-chorus] Eyes I stared too long Hurt I must move on [Chorus] Summer Haze I talked to you This pain you gave me Illusions too Saturn Eyes Devour me too Black by day I can’t see you [Verse 2] Now that I’ve grown my wings (myself) You clipped me down again I should be free to choose my sins But you made me choose you again [Instrumental Solo] [Chorus] Summer Haze I talked to you This pain you gave me Illusions too Saturn Eyes Devour me too Black by day I can’t see you Summer Haze I talked to you This pain you gave me Illusions too Saturn Eyes Devour me too Black by day I can’t I can’t see you

[Verse1] I looked for you Searched you at home But you were Gone Eyes looking elsewhere Capsule shaped hole in my Lung I feared I I feared I I feared you Had found God. [Verse2] I creeped inside I found you lying on the Ground You locked yourself away Forced its venom in your Arm I feared I I feared I I feared you Had found your God [Chorus] Soon your troubles will be over I feared I lost you for good this time To the holes in your leg now The black beaked mask is now upon you He’s trying to hurry you early Your blood is in your mouth now [Verse 3] Salt stains your face Kisses on your forehead But you’ve gone Cold Eyes looking elsewhere It’s pierced a hole in my Soul I fear I I fear I I fear this last time There’s no goodbye [Chorus] Soon your troubles will be over I feared I lost you for good this time To the holes in your leg now The black beaked mask is now upon you He’s trying to hurry you early Your blood is in your mouth now [Instrumental Solo] [Chorus] Now your troubles will be over I fear I lost you for good this time To the holes in your leg now The black beaked mask is now upon you He’s trying to hurry you early Your blood is in your mouth now

[Intro - Spoken Verse] So, you think. You think, I’m to blame The root of all evil Is me. But did you know? I have eyes just like yours. Though my senses fill Often overwhelmed [Verse 1] I found you. Holding down a fig leaf In the dark of the sun I found you Looking up the tree of life You wanted to climb Home [Verse 2] I took you in You took a bite Of the only fruit you found Liquid courage Cloudy eyes Around you my coil unwound [Chorus] Quivering skin Come to me My haunt, please To your knees Let me pierce you While he watches Close your eyes now You belong to me [Verse 3] The taste of your tears Stayed the same While you grew Into your years Scarlet rotting Insensitive waist (waste) Your vapid eyes may Stay no more. [Chorus] Quivering skin Come to me My haunt, please To your knees Let me pierce you While he watches Close your eyes now You belong to me [Instrumental]

about

This is Screetus' debut EP.

Inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, and the tragedy of Prometheus, Auburn Garden is a concept album that delves into various perspectives of abuse and the debasement of one's soul. The idea of abuse is viewed through multiple lenses like drugs, psychological and physical abuse, and religion. The songs tell stories from the perspectives of the victim in despair, a hypocritical bystander, and the frenzied abuser.

The sound of the album is inspired by artists like Steven Wilson, Airbag, Opeth, and Indukti. Lush distorted guitars, intimate acoustic guitars, emotional solos, conversational vocals, cinematic soundscapes, and drama form the basis of how this EP wants to speak to you.
